Louisiana man arrested in McComb for trafficking a Texas child

On November 12, 2021, the Pike County Sheriff’s Office Detective Division, Narcotics Division, Agents with the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics and Mississippi Bureau of Investigations received a tip regarding a possible human trafficking situation in Pike County.
The tip led Agents to the Days Inn in McComb where they located a Texas juvenile.  The child had been missing for over a year.
Agents arrested James Joseph Thibo of Lafayette, Louisiana, and charged him with Procuring Prostitution 1st Offense and Possession of Controlled Substance.
This case is still under investigation with other state and federal agencies.
