A small-town Mississippi lottery player turned into a big winner over the weekend.
In Leakesville, a lucky player matched all five numbers on a Mississippi Match 5 ticket, securing a $701,000 jackpot. The winning ticket was sold at the JR Food Mart on Main Street.

The Mississippi Match 5 jackpot reset to $50,000 after the big win and currently sits at $52,000 ahead of Tuesday night’s drawing. As for the Powerball, the jackpot has risen to an eye-popping $325 million with an estimated cash value of $145.3 million. The next drawing is set for Wednesday at 9:59 p.m. CT.
