A major drug must in Newton County has resulted in the arrests of 11 people, according to the local sheriff’s office.
Following a 10-month investigation, law enforcement officers with the Newton County Sheriff’s Department and the Newton County Special Response Team executed a search warrant at 104 East First Street.
Upon entering the Newton residence, suspected methamphetamine and a firearm were recovered. In addition, individuals suspected of selling illegal narcotics were taken into custody.
The following arrests were made, with each suspect’s charges:
- Virginia Hale – one count of sale of a controlled substance
- Joshua Walker – two counts of sale of a controlled substance
- Christopher Hillie – one count of sale of a controlled substance
- Dustin Savell – one count of sale of a controlled substance
- Tyneshia Body – three counts of sale of a controlled substance
- Gerome Bailey – two counts of sale of a controlled substance
- Derek Wash – two counts of sale of a controlled substance
- Timmerson Holloway – one count of sale of a controlled substance
- Tyrone Crafton – one count of sale of a controlled substance
- Richard Buckley – two counts of sale of a controlled substance
- Samuel Goss – one count of sale of a controlled substance
Four others are also wanted for their alleged connection in the drug web: James “Chip” Sciple, Jefferey Evans, Derrick Grass, and Deborah Pyror. Anyone with information regarding their whereabouts is asked to contact the Newton County Sheriff’s Department at (601) 635-4401.
