A man is locked up for allegedly tying up and physically assaulting a male victim for two days in a north Mississippi home.

Southaven Police responded to a call regarding an unlawful confinement and aggravated assault at a residence on Dela Drive on Monday around 10:30 a.m. Officers reported having negative contact with the suspect, identified as Brian Damron, but the department’s SWAT team was able to take the suspect into custody without any further incident.

The unidentified victim had reportedly suffered numerous injuries as a result of the multi-day incident but was able to escape after Damron allegedly passed out after consuming a concoction containing a mixture of alcohol and an unspecified medication. The victim was transported to a local hospital for treatment.

Damron has a lengthy rap sheet, according to authorities. He has been convicted of numerous violent offenses from other states including unlawful imprisonment, second-degree assault under extreme emotional disturbances, wanton endangerment, and third-degree burglary.

No further details have been provided in the current case involving Damron.
