Ole Miss head basketball coach Chris Beard has rounded out his 2025-26 roster, with the latest addition being High Point transfer Kezza Giffa.
The 6-foot-2 guard has elected to spend his senior campaign at Ole Miss after averaging 14.6 points, 2.5 rebounds, and 2.5 assists per game this past season. He helped lead the Panthers to the NCAA Tournament, where the team ultimately fell to No. 4 seed Purdue in the opening round. Prior to signing with the Rebels, Giffa committed to USC earlier in the transfer cycle but decided to reverse course.
Beard’s acquisition of Giffa, a native of France, comes after the Ole Miss frontman reeled in a litany of players from the transfer portal, and one from abroad, to revamp a depleted roster following the expiration of eligibility for seven players from last year’s squad. The Rebels also lost three players to the portal. Star big man Malik Dia and young guard Eduardo Klafke are the only notable returners from this past season.
Giffa will join a long list of other hoopers who have found a new home in Oxford, including Corey Chest (LSU), Koren Johnson (Louisville), James Scott (Louisville), AJ Storr (Kansas), Travis Perry (Kentucky), Augusto Cassia (Butler), and Ilias Kamardine (France). Freshman newcomers Tylis Jordan, Patton Pinkins, and Niko Bundalo have also earned roster spots.
The Rebels will begin the 2025-26 season in November with momentum as the program is coming off its second-ever Sweet 16 appearance.
