A Mississippi corrections officer has been arrested and booked into the Rankin County Detention Center after she allegedly supplied inmates with drugs.

Jasmeshia Kharae Wilkins, 32, was hired in November as a corrections officer at the Central Mississippi Correctional Facility in Pearl. Last week, agents with the Mississippi Department of Corrections recovered several bags of suspected marijuana, edible THC gummies, and three cell phones allegedly intended for inmates.

Wilkins was charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to distribute, introduction of contraband into a correctional facility, and conspiracy. Her bond has been set at $142,500.
