A Meridian man will spend the next 41 years in prison for his role in a multi-state meth trafficking operation.
The U.S. Department of Justice announced that 33-year-old Samuel Ykem Boler pled guilty to conspiring with other cohorts to distribute kilogram quantities of the illicit substance from California and Tennessee into central Mississippi from June 2016 through May 2018.

The case is the result of an extensive investigation dubbed “Operation Highlife,” which targeted illegal meth distribution in central Mississippi.
Agents with the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Homeland Security Investigations, and the Mississippi Bureau of Narcotics led the investigation into Boler. His case is being prosecuted by Criminal Chief Erin Chalk.
After serving his full jail sentence, Boler will spend five years on supervised release.
