The Mississippi High School Activities Association has announced a change to its soccer schedule due to the conditions left behind by Winter Storm Fern.
“Due to recent inclement winter weather and its impact on travel and field conditions, the state soccer playoff schedule has been revised,” the MHSAA said in a press release.
The revised schedule pushes each classification’s season, including the playoffs, back by a week. The regular season for 1A-7A will now end on Feb. 5 after originally being scheduled to end on Jan. 29. The state finals will be played on Feb. 20 and 21.
