Connor Babin booted himself into the Millsaps record books during the Majors’ 56-14 win over Centenary on Saturday, landing in the No. 2 slot for most successful PATs in a single game in program history. The 8-for-8 performance notched Babin the honor of Southern Athletic Association Special Teams Player of the Week, the conference announced Monday.
Babin, a sophomore from Fulshear, Texas, also tied the third-most PAT attempts in Millsaps history with his career day. He added eight kickoffs that sailed 445 yards with three touchbacks.
It’s the third time Babin has notched SAA Special Teams Player of the Week, winning the award twice as a freshman in 2024.

Joining Babin on the weekly SAA honors list but in the notable performance section were freshman quarterback Grant Bizjack and senior defensive lineman Zabian Boutan.
Bizjack, earning his second straight start, tossed for 184 yards on 12 of 19 attempts with four total touchdowns. The four scores propelled the Majors (1-1) to their highest point total since 2010 and first win of the season.
Boutan helped hold a Centenary offense to minimal damage with a team-high seven tackles, three for loss, and two sacks.
Next up for Millsaps will be at Hendrix to start a three-game road trip. The Majors will kick off against the Warriors on Saturday at 1 p.m.
