Authorities are investigating after a missing woman was discovered dead with gunshot wounds in Simpson County.
The Simpson County Sheriff’s Office reports that Tazah Amethyst Hosey was reported missing by her father after not hearing from her for more than a day.
Sunday evening, shortly before 9:00 p.m., deputies discovered a vehicle on Paul Kennedy Road just outside the city of Magee. Hosey was spotted deceased in the vehicle with multiple gunshot wounds.
The incident is being treated as a homicide. Anyone who may have made contact with the victim between Saturday and Sunday is asked to contact the SCSO at (601)847-2921 or Crime Stoppers at (601)355-8477.
