The U.S. Supreme Court cautions that a final decision on Mississippi’s abortion case has not been made, despite a leaked draft opinion by Justice Samuel Alito–dated in February–which signaled the court may overturn Roe v. Wade and hand full authority to regulate abortion back to the states.
Mississippi Attorney General spoke with Fox News about it Tuesday, calling the breach of trust egregious.
It is appalling that someone would breach the trust of an institution like the United States Supreme Court. We are respectful of the justices and mindful that the Court will speak through its opinion when it comes down in its final form. We will certainly be anticipating and waiting for that final opinion.
The final ruling from the Supreme Court is expected in late June.
