A Mississippi high school football and basketball player was killed in a shooting over the weekend.
Officials report that Rajuan Clark Jr., 17, died following a round of gunfire that rang out in the Gloster area on Saturday night. Multiple others were struck in the shooting, but their identities and condition were not released.
Clark was a senior at Amite County High School. He is listed on the Trojans’ football roster as a wide receiver and defensive back. The school posted the following message regarding his death:
It is with continued and heartfelt sorrow that Amite County High School acknowledges the loss of one of our seniors, Rajuan Clark, who passed away on Saturday, November 22, 2025. Rajuan was a bright presence on our campus, respected by his peers, cherished by his teachers, and deeply loved by all who had the honor of knowing him.
He was also an exceptional athlete whose dedication, talent, and spirit inspired both his teammates and the entire school community. His absence leaves a tremendous void in our hearts. During this difficult time, we lovingly and earnestly solicit your thoughts and prayers for Rajuan’s family, friends, classmates, and the entire Amite County School District. May we continue to stand together in unity, compassion, and support as we navigate this heartbreaking loss.”
Police have not announced any arrests or additional details in this case.
