The Mississippi Lottery has made its final monthly transfer of Fiscal Year 2025 with a transfer of more than $9.2 million to the state. The total generated for the Magnolia State in the fiscal year that ended on June 30 ran to $113,001,105.82.
Officials called the final payment the bookend of a “banner year” for the lottery, highlighted by milestones like the organization’s 5th anniversary, the first ever Mississippi Match 5 millionaire, the launch of an enhanced Mega Millions game, and the state’s largest lottery win to date.
Since the lottery’s inception, a combined $691.7 million has been transferred to the state, including $470.7 million to the State Highway Fund and $221 million to the Education Enhancement Fund.
“We’re proud to fund improvements to roads and schools — priorities that affect every Mississippian,” Mississippi Lottery Corporation President Jeff Hewitt said. “These transfers demonstrate the Lottery’s commitment to supporting Mississippi’s long-term growth and success.”
The Lottery transferred $125,102,374.80 to the state in Fiscal Year 2024, meaning the total transfer for 2025 dropped by more than $12 million.
