One Mississippi man was caught riding high in Illinois.

44-year-old William Davis of Lexington was arrested by the Marion (Illinois) Police Department after over 80 pounds of marijuana, 30 bottles of THC syrup, and 40 vape pens were found inside his vehicle.

Davis was charged with drug trafficking and faces other charges after he was stopped by officers for speeding. He was taken to the Williamson County Jail pending a court appearance.

Despite marijuana being legal in Illinois, out-of-state residents are only allowed to carry a maximum of 15 grams of the substance before it becomes a criminal quantity.
