A man believed to be linked to a regional car theft ring is now behind bars in Mississippi.
Law enforcement officials in Carroll County were notified by the Mississippi Highway Patrol to be on the lookout for a vehicle that was stolen out of Florida. The alert, along with GPS tracking, led area deputies to the automobile.

After a brief pursuit between authorities and 43-year-old Brandon Gordon, the vehicle was stopped in the McCarley area. Gordon, from Durant, was handcuffed at the scene. While searching the stolen car, police found multiple weapons, marijuana, and electronic devices used to aid in breaking into a vehicle.
Gordon, who was out on bond for felonies committed in DeSoto County at the time of his arrest, is charged with possession of stolen property and possession of marijuana in a motor vehicle with weapon enhancement. He is currently being held in the Carroll County Detention Center and is believed to be connected with other stolen vehicles in Southaven and Memphis.
Authorities in Carroll County, DeSoto County, and Memphis are collaborating to investigate a major car theft ring. More arrests are expected in the case.
