The Mississippi Department of Employment Security (MDES) has announced a date for its annual state agency job fair.
The 2024 Mississippi State Agency Job Fair will take place Thursday, March 28, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the Mississippi Trade Mart in Jackson. MDES, through the Governor’s Job Fair Network, is partnering with the Mississippi State Personnel Board and other state agencies to put on the event.
“The Mississippi State Agency Job Fair is a great opportunity for Mississippians seeking employment,” Gov. Tate Reeves said. “Mississippi state agencies need you! If you are interested in entering the workforce or finding a career in state government, I encourage you to attend.”
Over 30 state agencies will be participating in this year’s fair with employers encouraging participants to dress for success and bring plenty of résumés.
“Hiring personnel are eager to meet with candidates to find out about their skills, education, and work history,” Adam Todd, director of the Governor’s Job Fair Network, said. “Job seekers will learn about the rewarding work these organizations provide people of Mississippi and how state employment can benefit them and their families.”
Pre-registration for the 2024 Mississippi State Agency Job Fair is encouraged. Please print your registration confirmation and provide it at the check-in station when you arrive on March 28.
