Mississippi State Auditor calls out racist books bought with your tax dollars

A federal grant used to purchase an ‘anti-racism bookshelf’ has caught the attention of State Auditor Shad White.  In a recently released video, he holds up a book titled “Not My Idea” and quotes a line from it that states ‘Whiteness is a bad deal.’

“Not only did you pay for that with your federal tax dollars, you also weirdly paid for it twice because your state tax dollars went to the Mississippi Library Commission which helped select that book to be in Mississippi libraries.  I pulled that book as an example, but there are a lot more like it with content just like it,” he explains in the video.

White–who backs banning Critical Race Theory–goes on to say that taxpayers shouldn’t be asked to subsidize ideas like this that are harmful to children, and have nothing to do with teaching history or civil rights.
