Mississippi State has altered its baseball schedule this weekend due to inclement weather making its way through Starkville.
With the city currently being under a severe thunderstorm watch for Friday, game one of the Diamond Dogs’ series versus Kentucky has been moved to Saturday at 2 p.m., with the second contest slated to take place 40 minutes after. Sunday’s outing will occur as originally scheduled.

The Bulldogs (26-19, 7-14 SEC) underwent a staff shakeup on Monday with the announcement that Chris Lemonis had been terminated from his role as head coach. Mississippi State, under the leadership of interim frontman Justin Parker, cruised to an 18-5 victory over Memphis on Tuesday. Parker will have the chance to keep postseason hopes alive against a conference foe.
Friday’s weather could also possibly pose issues with the Super Bulldog Weekend schedule. No official announcements have been made at this time on any alterations to the event’s operations.
