Mississippi State Headed to Nashville for the 2019 Music City Bowl

Mississippi State will head to the Music City for its record 10th straight bowl appearance, as the Bulldogs have accepted a bid to the 2019 Music City Bowl to take on Louisville on December 30th. This will be State’s second trip to Nashville, having defeated Wake Forest 23-17 in 2011.

The Bulldogs will head to the home of the Tennessee Titans riding a two game winning streak and coming off an emotional 21-20 win over Ole Miss that vaulted MSU into the postseason. Joe Moorhead will look for his first postseason win as head coach of the Bulldogs, having dropped a 27-22 decision to Iowa in the Outback Bowl last season. The Bulldogs are 13-9 in bowl games all time. State will take on Louisville, who finished the season at 7-5. The two teams have met in the postseason once before, with the Bulldogs taking a 31-27 win the then TaxSlayer Bowl in 2017.
