Mississippi Weather Outlook – Thursday, January 2nd

There’s a lot of rain in the forecast today across the state.

In North Mississippi, expect showers with highs in the mid-50s. Showers will continue tonight, but the temperature won’t drop much as the lows will be in the lower 50s.

Central Mississippi gets the same showers to start the day, but there will be a chance of thunderstorms with highs in the mid-60s. MEMA has warned of potential flash flooding throughout the region today, so stay alert while out on the roads. Lows will drop to the mid-60s tonight with the thunderstorm threat remaining.

South Mississippi will have highs in the lower 70s with a slight chance of thunderstorms. Showers will continue at night in the area with lows in the mid-50s.
