Thermal management company Modine is upgrading an existing facility in Grenada County to manufacture data center cooling equipment.
The project, which was announced on Monday, will represent a corporate investment of more than $38 million by the end of 2028 and will create more than 450 jobs, per the Mississippi Development Authority.

“This is another big economic development win for Grenada County and Mississippi. Four-hundred-and-fifty jobs are a lot of jobs, and that means a lot of meaningful careers for Mississippians. Modine’s investment speaks volumes to our dedication to cultivating one of the top business environments in the country,” Governor Tate Reeves said.
“Companies like Modine are increasingly relying on Mississippi to get the job done right and on time. The ‘Mississippi Momentum’ is real, and this is our time to show the world everything that makes our state the optimal place to invest.”
Modine boasts its résumé as a diversified global leader in thermal management technology and solutions. The expansion in Grenada County involves building enhancements and product line additions to support an increased demand for the company’s data center cooling solutions.

Data centers have become a hot topic in the Magnolia State with Amazon Web Services and Compass announcing multi-billion-dollar projects in the past year and a half.

The Mississippi Development Authority is assisting Modine with the cost of building improvements. Entergy Mississippi is assisting with utility needs.
