A Mississippi woman is reportedly fighting for her life following a car crash in Alcorn County.
Law enforcement officials confirmed to SuperTalk Mississippi News that a head-on collision occurred on Highway 72 near Glen, just east of Corinth, on Wednesday around 10 p.m. The wreck involved an individual motorist and another vehicle occupied by a mother and her two children.
The unidentified solo driver was pronounced deceased at the scene by the Mississippi Highway Patrol.
Meanwhile, the mother, identified by sources as Amanda Wilbanks Bain, was airlifted to Regional One Health in Memphis with life-threatening injuries and required surgery. Her sons were reportedly taken to Le Bonheur Children’s Hospital in Memphis, but did not sustain any major injuries in the crash.
