MSDH confirms 1,369 new COVID-19 cases in weekly report

On Wednesday, the Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) confirmed 1,369 new cases of COVID-19.

The seven-day update brings the state’s total number of recorded cases since the onset of the pandemic to 935,770. With 13 additional deaths, 13,005 Mississippians have now passed away as a result of the virus. Additionally, there are currently 49 ongoing outbreaks in long-term care facilities.

Mississippi is averaging 191 daily cases, a 50% increase from two weeks ago. As of October 1, 1,567,597 Mississippians were fully vaccinated.
