MSDH confirms 3,594 new COVID-19 cases in weekly report

On Wednesday, the Mississippi State Department of Health confirmed 3,594 new COVID-19 cases.

The seven-day update brings the state’s total number of recorded cases since the onset of the pandemic to 984,614. With 39 additional deaths, 13,296 Mississippians have passed away as a result of the virus. Additionally, there are currently 123 ongoing outbreaks in long-term care facilities.

Mississippi is currently averaging 461 daily cases, which is a 17% decrease from two weeks ago.
