MSDH reports 1,377 new COVID-19 cases

COVID-19 is continuing to cycle through the state according to the Mississippi State Department of Health’s latest report confirming 1,377 new cases.

Friday’s update brings the state’s total number of cases to 828,389. With two additional deaths, the total number of Mississippians who have died as a result of the virus is now at 12,707. In addition, there are currently 142 ongoing outbreaks in long-term care facilities.

As of June 21, the total number of Mississippians who are fully vaccinated is 1,554,082.
