MSDH reports 1,415 new COVID-19 cases

The Magnolia State is continuing to experience an uptick in COVID-19 according to the Mississippi State Department of Health’s latest report confirming 1,415 new cases.

Tuesday’s update brings the state’s total number of cases to 860,767. With three additional deaths, the total number of Mississippians who have passed as a result of the virus is now 12,576. Additionally, there are currently 206 ongoing outbreaks in long-term care facilities.

Mississippi is averaging 1,495 daily cases over the last week. As of Monday, 1,559,790 (52%) of Mississippi residents were fully vaccinated.
