MSDH reports 3,426 new COVID-19 cases from the weekend

The Mississippi State Department of Health reported 3,426 new cases of COVID-19 on Monday.

The three-day total brings the state’s total number of cases to 869,466. With one additional death, the complete number of Mississippians who have passed as a result of the virus is 12,604. In addition, there are currently 212 ongoing outbreaks in long-term care facilities.

Mississippi is averaging 1,426 daily cases over the last week, an 18% increase from two weeks ago. As of Monday, 1,555,540 Mississippi residents were fully vaccinated.
