MSDH reports four-day total of 1,868 cases

The Mississippi State Department of Health (MSDH) has reported 1,868 new cases of COVID-19 from the holiday weekend.

The four-day total, which covers February 18-21, brings the state’s total number of cases to 787,396. With the confirmation of 22 additional deaths, 11,858 Mississippians have passed away from the virus. Also according to the report, there are 146 ongoing outbreaks in long-term care facilities.

Hospitalizations currently stand at 630 with confirmed infection. In comparison, there were 1,509 people hospitalized with confirmed infection on January 28.
