Tupelo officials have opened a new road to ease traffic concerns near the city’s new Target store.
Elected leaders held a ceremonial ribbon-cutting on Woodford Way Friday morning. The new road runs alongside Target, veers behind the nearby Sam’s and Walmart stores, and ends at Barnes Crossing Road. Target officially opened to the public on Tuesday, and at that point, there was only one main exit road for shoppers.
Now, there are two.
At 148,000 square feet, Tupelo’s Target store is the largest in Mississippi and offers drive-up, order pickup, and same-day delivery, giving locals several convenient ways to shop. The store also features a Starbucks Café and a CVS Pharmacy inside, along with standard Target offerings like electric vehicle charging stations and areas to buy adult beverages.
Hours of operation are from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays.
