Authorities are investigating after the body of a missing man was located in Grenada County.
Officials said 66-year-old Jeff Gann was found around 11 a.m. on Wednesday near Redgrass Road. He had last been seen on Saturday, not far from where his body was discovered.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers and Mississippi Department of Wildlife, Fisheries, and Parks aided in finding the missing man. Grenada County Coroner Douglas Yates reported that the body showed no signs of trauma and that it will not undergo an autopsy.
“It isn’t the outcome we hoped for,” the Grenada County Sheriff’s office stated. “We have been in close contact with his immediate family and they have been notified.”
No foul play is suspected in this case.
