NWS confirms tornado touched down in Madison Co.

The National Weather Service has confirmed that an EF-1 tornado touched down in the far northern portion of Madison County yesterday.

According to the preliminary damage survey results, winds reached a peak of 105 miles per hour, and the tornado had a max width of 400 yards with a 6.8 mile path length.

Luckily, there were no injuries or deaths.

Only trees, a small outbuilding, and a pumphouse were damaged.
