Officials are investigating the discovery of a dead body on the campus of Delta State University.
The unidentified body was found by a staffer in an unspecified area of the Cleveland-based school early Monday morning. Details remain slim as law enforcement authorities assess the scene.

School officials notified students that counselors and support services are available to students, faculty, and staff through the O.W. Reilly Counseling Center. All classes and major events scheduled at the university have been canceled for the day.
