The No. 3 Ole Miss men’s golf team is advancing to the NCAA Championship for the 13th time in program history.
After recording a runner-up finish in the Tallahassee regional, Chris Malloy’s club will head back to Oxford to gear up for a trip out west. The title competition will be held at the Omni La Costa Resort and Spa in Carlsbad, California, from May 23-28.

Of the 13 NCAA Championship berths, this year’s marks the seventh time the Rebels have advanced as a team and first since 2022. Ole Miss was the most aggressive team on the course on Wednesday, turning in the regional low score of 275, or -13.

Michael La Sasso was stellar for the red and blue, amassing a final round six-under 66 to finish tied for second. His runner-up finish is the second-best in an NCAA regional by an Ole Miss golfer behind Jackson Suber, who took home individual honors in 2022. La Sasso jumpstarted his round with an eagle, posting a one-under on the front nine. He would go on to birdie five of his final nine holes.
Cohen Trolio had a strong final day, shooting four-under 68 to finish even par for the regional. Trolio stuck a wedge to three feet on number one to open his day with a birdie. He would post two-under 34 on his front nine and card a bogey-free two-under on the back.
The upcoming NCAA Championship will ultimately feature 30 teams and six individuals from non-qualifying teams.
