Following an off week in Oxford, the Ole Miss football team stayed put in the Associated Press Top 25 poll.

The Rebels, who are now ranked No. 13 for the second week in a row, were jumped by Oregon State as USC dropped out of the Top 15 after falling to Notre Dame Saturday night. The nation’s top four remain the same with Georgia maintaining the No. 1 spot followed by Michigan, Ohio State, and Florida State.

The off week for the Rebels was not without woes, though. On Wednesday, it was reported that star wide receiver Jordan Watkins suffered a “serious” hand injury during practice. With the full severity of the injury unconfirmed, it is unclear if Watkins will miss any time. The Louisville transfer leads the team with 536 receiving yards in his second year in Oxford.

Ole Miss (5-1, 2-1 SEC) will be back in action against Auburn (3-3, 0-3) and former head coach Hugh Freeze this Saturday. The last time the Rebels faced off against Freeze, it resulted in a 27-14 win over Liberty in 2021.

The matchup against the Tigers is set to kick off at 6 p.m. CT on ESPN. It can also be broadcast on participating SuperTalk Mississippi stations.
