Ole Miss will have a male and female golfer compete in the upcoming Arnold Palmer Cup.
Junior Michael La Sasso will make his second consecutive appearance for the red, white, and blue in the annual tournament pitting collegiate golfers from the U.S. against their international counterparts. This year’s Ryder Cup-style competition will be held in Ridgeland, S.C., from June 5-7.

Caitlyn Macnab will represent the Rebels on the women’s side of the tournament. The South African native will be featured as a member of Team International.
La Sasso became the first Rebel since Braden Thornberry in 2018 to represent Ole Miss in the prestigious event. In his junior season, La Sasso has helped guide the Rebels to their first No. 1 ranking in program history. He leads the team with a 69.63 scoring average and has 20 rounds under par on the year.
The North Carolina native broke through for his first collegiate win back in the fall at the Hamptons Intercollegiate. La Sasso posted (201, -15), winning the tournament by 11 strokes. He notched his second victory in the team’s regular season finale at the Old Waverly Collegiate Championship. Alongside his teammate Tom Fischer, La Sasso carded (203, -13), tying the individual low-54 in tournament history.
Macnab, a senior, is rounding out a historic collegiate career and a dominant two-year run in Oxford. She leads the SEC with a stroke average of 70.00 and currently ranks No. 22 in the Clippd Scoreboard individual rankings and No. 23 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings.
Two weeks ago, Macnab became the first Rebel in program history to win the SEC Championship individual title with a 54-hole total of 201 (-9). She has finished in the top 20 in all nine tournaments this season, including four top-five finishes, and has tallied a school-record 14 rounds in the 60s.
Team USA currently leads the all-time Arnold Palmer Cup series 15-12-1. No golfers from any other Mississippi universities were rostered for the tournament.
