One person is dead after an officer-involved shooting in Tupelo on Saturday.
The Tupelo Police Department was responding to a domestic violence call near Abby Lane when a person at the home pulled a gun on officers before fleeing into the woods. When they found the subject, the person began shooting at police.
Police responded with gunfire and the subject was fatally wounded. No officers are being reported as injured at this time.
The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is investigating the situation.
