An officer with the Pearl Police Department is recovering from injuries he sustained while responding to a call for service.
Police Chief Nick McLendon said the officer was “seriously injured” in a crash on Highway 80 near Bierdeman Road on Monday night. He was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
McLendon added that the unidentified officer suffered multiple injuries, though he did not specify the nature of them. The officer was released from the hospital later Monday night in stable condition.
“He’s banged up but doing okay. We are incredibly thankful for all the continued prayers and support. The Good Lord was definitely watching over him,” McLendon said.
