Two lucky players recently walked away from Pearl River Resort with more than a million dollars in their pockets.
The resort in Choctaw reported Monday that on March 10, a player from Gordo, Alabama, struck gold with a $1,140,689 jackpot at Silver Star Casino. Just days later, a Mississippian from Decatur hit it big, winning $1,036,457 at Golden Moon Casino.
“It looks like the madness of March has spilled over from the sportsbook onto the gaming floor,” Pearl River Resort interim president and CEO Tim Hill said. “The staff at Pearl River Resort is excited for each of these million-dollar wins. It’s great to see just one guest have such a memorable experience, but having two brings the excitement to a whole new level.”
The winners cashed in on the same slot game, coincidentally enough. According to Pearl River Resort, Buffalo Power Play can be credited for making the players millionaires. The Wild West-themed game is available to play at both casinos, which are open 24/7.
