A Horn Lake woman has been charged after allegedly stabbing and killing her 82-year-old father.
Officers were called to a home on Goodman Road Sunday night after 54-year-old Angela Campbell was said to have stabbed both her father and brother. While the brother survived, Alvin Gilless, Sr. did not.
Gilless, a liquor store owner and longtime politico, was pronounced dead on the scene. The other victim, Campbell’s brother, was treated at Regional One Hospital and has since been released.
Campbell is charged with murder and attempted murder. She is currently being held at the DeSoto County Jail, where she awaits bond.
