It’s officially championship week for public high schools in Mississippi with title games kicking off Thursday afternoon at Vaught-Hemingway Stadium in Oxford and continuing through Saturday night.
Below is a list of final scores of championship games from each of the state’s seven classifications as they conclude:
Class 7A
Final score: Oak Grove 33, Starkville 28
Class 6A
Final score: West Jones 23, Grenada 3
Class 5A
Final score: West Point 35, Laurel 7
Class 4A
Final score: Louisville 19, Columbia 6
Class 3A
Final score: Winona 34, Noxubee County 27
Class 2A
Final score: Charleston 26, Heidelberg 22
Class 1A
Final score: Biggersville 53, Velma Jackson 49
