Award-winning country trio Rascal Flatts recently returned to the stage after a five-year hiatus, and according to them, it’s going so well that they’re already gearing up for 2026.
The band, which includes Gary Levox on lead vocals, Jay DeMarcus on bass guitar, and Joe Don Rooney on lead guitar, announced plans Wednesday for the extension of its Life is a Highway Tour. The incoming 21-concert trek will include stops in 16 states, including one show in Mississippi, and have special guests in Lauren Alaina and Chris Lane.
Rascal Flatts will perform at the Mississippi Coast Coliseum in Biloxi on Feb. 19 with tickets going on sale Aug. 15 at 10 a.m. CT.

Rascal Flatts announced it would be disbanding after it completed its 2020 tour. However, the COVID-19 pandemic forced the break-up to come earlier than expected, with all shows that year being cancelled.
Fast-forward to this year, band members decided to hit both the studio and the road again on what would have been the group’s silver anniversary. Rascal Flatts released its tenth studio album, “Life Is A Highway: Refueled Duets,” in June and paired it with a reunion tour that will now carry into 2026. The new album revisits old hits but adds a twist with featured artists like Kelly Clarkson, Backstreet Boys, Blake Shelton, and Jason Aldean.
“What a ride the past year has been! We’re so excited to continue this tour. The response we’ve received from everyone has been overwhelming and humbling. We’ve truly had such a blast over the past year getting back in front of our fans on the road, and we thought, ‘Why not keep the party going?’” DeMarcus said in a press release from Live Nation, the company producing the tour.
Rascal Flatts may be best known for its hit Tom Cochrane cover, “Life is a Highway,” which climbed to No. 7 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and was further fueled by its use in the Disney film “Cars.” The group has achieved 12 No. 1 hits on the Billboard Hot Country Songs chart, including “What Hurts the Most,” “Here,” “My Wish,” and their cover of Marcus Hammon’s “Bless the Broken Road.”
Rascal Flatts was named Vocal Group of the Year by the Country Music Association six years in a row from 2003 until 2008 and has been nominated for a Grammy on four occasions. In 2011, the group was inducted into the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville and subsequently received a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in 2012.
