Four in-state recruits in the 2020 class have announced where they’ll play their college ball.

Earlier this week, 4-star DT Josaih Hayes out of Horn Lake announced that he has committed to Ole Miss, saying that it felt like home.

At 6’3, 300 pounds, Hayes is the #2-ranked prospect in the state for the 2020 recruiting cycle, according to 24/7 Sports. Hayes became the 6th commit in Ole Miss’ 2020 class, and he chose the Rebels over Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Mississippi State and Kentucky.

Yesterday, the Rebels got a commitment from An’Darius Coffey out of Winona. Coffey, who is listed as an athlete, played both DB and QB last season and doesn’t currently have a rating on 24/7.

Coffey also holds an offer from Southern Miss.

The Rebels were likely hoping that Hayes’ commitment meant that his Horn Lake teammate, 3-star LB Jakivuan Brown, would join him in Oxford. Brown instead chose to sign with Mississippi State.

Brown, standing at 6’3 & weighing 225 pounds, is the 15th ranked prospect in the state and chose MSU over Ole Miss, Auburn, Oregon and others.

The Bulldogs also received a commitment from JUCO WR Caleb Ducking out of Holmes C.C. Ducking is originally from Rolling Fork.

Ducking, who doesn’t have a 24/7 ranking, measures in at 6’5 and weighs 180 pounds.

Mississippi State’s 2020 class already has 16 members.
