The Mississippi Lottery Corporation has announced yet another jackpot increase for the Mississippi Match 5 ahead of Tuesday night’s drawing, with the grand prize totaling an estimated $880,000.

Following Saturday night’s drawing, the jackpot was previously advertised to have risen to $810,000 before the game’s officials chose to increase the winning prize again.

Tuesday’s drawing will be the 25th roll in the current jackpot run after all five numbers were last matched on December 10, where one player won $55,000.

Since its launch, Mississippi Match 5 has had five jackpots of more than $500,000. Each time there’s a jackpot winner, the game resets to a $50,000 jackpot. The previous Mississippi Match 5 record jackpot of $665,000 was hit in July 2021 and was split between two winning tickets.

Meanwhile, with no player hitting Saturday’s Powerball jackpot, the drawing for Monday night has reached an estimated $747 million, ranking it the fifth largest Powerball jackpot to date. The cash value is an estimated $403.1 million.

Two Mississippi players walked away with big wins over the weekend, as both tickets sold for Saturday’s Powerball drawing were worth $100,000 each.

One player purchased their ticket from Keith’s Superstore #107 on Highway 49 in Saucier, while the other purchased their winning ticket from a Shell on Church Road in Southaven.

As for previous winners, four days remain for the player who purchased a $500,000 Powerball ticket from the August 13 drawing.
