Ross stores across the nation have issued a recall for a popular candle after reports of the product combusting while lit, causing the glass container to break.

On Thursday, Ross Dress for Less announced a total recall of the brand Taylor and Finch’s Spiced Apple & Rosewood or Cedarwood & Clove candles after several injuries were reported. The discount retailer has numerous locations in Mississippi, with over 10 locations scattered throughout the state.

Nearly 6,000 of the candles were sold at Ross stores from August to October 2022, with each candle estimated to cost around $17. Each container has a red or white design and holds a 44-ounce, six-wick candle.

So far, there has been five reports of the candles combusting, with one injury at this time. Consumers have been asked to immediately stop using the candles and return them to a Ross location for a full refund.
