A Saltillo woman is considering filing a lawsuit against a mega candy company after finding a rodent’s tooth in her Snickers bar.

Payton Davis purchased the candy bar at a Family Dollar in Pontotoc in November, later finding the rat tooth after taking a bite.

Davis told WTVA that at first, she thought the hard object in the Snicker’s bar was a nut, but said that it hurt her mouth when she started chewing.

“I took it to a dentist, a local dentist, and he proceeded to look at it and said that it was definitely not a human tooth. It was possibly a rodent [tooth].”

She then hired attorney D.J. Gregory of The Gregory Law Firm before reaching out to Mars, the company that makes Snickers, to inform them about her findings. According to Gregory, Mars has since sent Davis several coupons in response.

“After biting into a candy bar and discovering an animal tooth, what better way to compensate for that than coupons for the very same product where you have just discovered this animal tooth?” Gregory told the TV station.
