Golfers are beginning to flood onto the grounds of the Country Club of Jackson as the Sanderson Farms Championship is underway yet again.
The tournament, which is Mississippi’s lone PGA Tour event, began Monday with the pro-am portion teeing off. Two more pro-am rounds will take place, one for adults and the other for youth, before the hopeful moneymakers hit the course.
Here’s what to know about the 2025 Sanderson Farms Championship.
When is the Sanderson Farms Championship?
Pro-am rounds began Monday and will go through Wednesday. Practice rounds for the 132-man professional field will take place Tuesday and Wednesday before the actual tournament begins Thursday and goes through Sunday. The course is open to the public Wednesday through Sunday.
There are also various complementing events throughout the week, including clinics for kids, sponsor parties, and a sold-out women’s luncheon featuring food personality and bestselling author Elizabeth Heiskell.

Where is the Sanderson Farms Championship?
Since 2014, the Sanderson Farms Championship has been held at the Country Club of Jackson. Going through several name changes and locations since the tournament landed PGA Tour status, it’s also been played at the Hattiesburg Country Club (1968-93) and Annandale Golf Club (1994-2013) in Madison.
According to Steve Jent, the tournament’s executive director, the Country Club of Jackson has been a perfect location providing opportunities for plenty of birdies with smooth fairways and true yet tricky greens.
“The greens are phenomenal. The fairways are phenomenal,” he said during last year’s event “Stan Reed and his crew have done a phenomenal job these last few years continuing to manicure it all.”
