It’s been nearly one year since the abrupt cancellation of the 2020 season, and now, college baseball makes its long-awaited return to the state of Mississippi this weekend.
After flying together to Arlington, Texas, #6 Ole Miss and #7 Mississippi State will open their seasons in the State Farm College Baseball Showdown on Saturday. Southern Miss will host Northwestern State for what has now become a two-game series in Hattiesburg, but Golden Eagle fans must now wait until Sunday due to travel issues for NW State forced the cancellation of Saturday’s matchup.
