Scholarships available for Mississippi students pursuing career in automotive industry

A round of scholarships is being offered for higher education students in Mississippi interested in pursuing a career in the automotive industry.

The Mississippi Automotive Manufacturers Association is welcoming pupils to hop on board to help grow the workforce of those operating on vehicles statewide.

Applicants to the Mississippi Automotive Manufacturers Association must:

  • Be currently enrolled full-time at an accredited two or four-year college or university or vocational-technical school in the state of Mississippi with plans to enroll full-time for the entire 2024-2025 academic year.
  • If attending a two-year college, be a sophomore during the year in which you would be receiving this scholarship. If attending a four-year college, be a junior or senior during the year in which you would be receiving this scholarship.
  • Hold a cumulative grade point average of 3.00 or greater (on a 4.0 scale).
  • Be interested in pursuing a career in automotive and must never have received this scholarship before

Since 2006, the Mississippi Automotive Manufacturers Association has awarded more than $400,000 in scholarships to students studying automotive-related fields at Mississippi’s community colleges and universities.
