Silver Star Hotel and Casino in Philadelphia will close twice during November for upgrades.
Pearl River Resort, which runs Silver Star, announced that the casino and hotel will be closed from Nov. 3-8 and Nov. 24-26 to accommodate essential maintenance requiring full power outages. The specifics of the upgrades were not outlined by officials in a press release sent out Friday.
“This is more than maintenance, it’s momentum,” Pearl River Resort interim president and CEO Tim Hill said. “We are making strategic enhancements that will deliver a more modern, comfortable, and seamless experience for every guest. Silver Star is the cornerstone of our resort, and these upgrades will ensure it continues to shine for years to come.”
While Silver Star is temporarily offline, its neighboring venues, Golden Moon Casino and Hotel and Dancing Rabbit Inn, will remain fully operational.
Additional improvements at Silver Star, including elevator upgrades and guest room renovations, are already underway in planned phases to minimize disruption.
