There are some major budget concerns for fiscal year 2021 due to two separate elements: (1) Governor Tate Reeves decided to veto the education portion of the budget a few weeks ago, and (2) The legislature left Jackson without providing a budget for the Mississippi Department of Marine Resources.
Representative Phillip Gun took a few minutes today to appear on The JT Show to address the state’s current financial system and further provide his thoughts on Reeves’ decision to veto a major component of the FY2021 budget.
